About me

Brought up in the South of Scotland, educated in the Highlands and then studied History of art and film in Newcastle. I used to work in costume for TV and Films before giving it up after a very long stint on what had to be the worst job ever, a Sunday night drama called Berkely Square, it just went on and on and on so decided to switch to Hospitality, going to work at Soho House as it opened, which was a lot of fun, but the hours were murder so then went into PR, much more civilised. After that set up a website (big mistake) with someone (bigger mistake) and now I dabble in all the things that I did in the past.

I spent three years as the restaurant reviewer for Icon magazine, which kicked off my writing about food. I was very fortunate and travelled far and wide to eat in some amazing restaurants. It was whilst doing this that I realised that it was not necessarily always about the food but the whole package that makes for a great dining experience and to be honest most of my favourite restaurants do not even have linen on the table.
I have just been commissioned to write my first book, details to follow
