As Monday is the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dragon I thought it would be a good idea to have the worlds most famous Chinese Chef share his likes and dislikes with you.
 He will be cooking a special recipe on BBC1 Saturday Kitchen Live on 28 January, at 10 am.

What was there first thing you taught your children to cook? Rice


What was your mothers signature dish and do you try to copy it? Her steamed halibut


What would you make to impress your partner? Peking duck


Where do you go for the best fish and chips? Seashell


What was your most memorable meal?. In Hong Kong, a boned stuffed sucking pig


What was your biggest culinary disaster? As a young child (11 years old) I burnt the fried rice


What's the worst meal you've ever had? Too many to name


What's the most outlandish thing you've ever eaten? Bear paws

What's the best/worst thing about the British restaurant scene?
The best is good home comfort cooking. The worse is pretentious bits and pieces.
